Lakes Community Center Meeting Minutes November 7 2019 President David Hall called the meeting to order at 7:05 PM. Quorum requirements were met with the following board members present: David Hall, Karan Hall, Rhonda Kersey, annd Tom Joynt. Frank Toothaker was absent. Secretary’s Report: Motion by Tom Joynt and second by Karan Hall to approve the minutes of October 3, 2019 as posted on the web page. Motion carried. Treasurer’s Report: No report. Old Business Kitchen Committee: Linda Joynt requested that a meeting be held for the LCC Kitchen Committee to discuss what materials will be requested from Home Depot to cover needs of cabinets. Meeting scheduled for Monday, November 18, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. Memorability Sale: Auction on October 12 and Yard sale on October 19 raised approximately $1,179.00. A scrap metal drive will tennatively be held on May 9, 2020 to round out sales at LCC of extraneous material. Patio Surface: Wedding prep on October 12 included some filling and grinding of the patio surface. Major resurface is still required. Prep for Winter: Tom J. replaced the 20” x 25” HVAC filter and showed the filter removed which had excessive dust. Filter change needs to happen quarterly. Culvert correction on the upstream end is underway. Turning off water to upper area should happen in December. Board Elections: Postponed until December 5, 2019. Shed: Construction of the two ~ 10’ x 12’ sheds fabricated from material from the 10’ x 24’ shed is well under way. Walls are up. Clarification of how material costs will be shared between LWC and LCC is needed. No budget was established for the shed project. Final Inspection: no report. New Business Town Hall with Lackey and Wilks: Meeting is tennatively scheduled for December 3, 2019. LCC Poleing place: LCC will host the new county voting system at the election in March 2020. Voting hardware will be delivered on February 26 and set up will happen February 27. Voting will happen over a four day period from February 29 through March 3. Hardware will be taken down on March 8 and picked up on March 9. LCC will be compensated for the four voting days at $125 per day. Contact is Hope Crawford at 562-347-2444.
